With August here, the new school year is just around the corner! Here’s a brief overview of everything happening in the next few weeks.
Returning Students: Online registration is currently open through ParentVUE. You can access it by following this link: https://or-wsd.edupoint.com/Frameset_PXP.aspx?P=Login_Student_PXP.aspx.
New Students: Please register in person at the school on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, August 12th, 13th, or 14th, between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Please bring your student’s vaccination records, proof of address, and birth certificate.
Kinder Camp: This free camp for all incoming kindergarten students will run from August 11th to August 15th, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. A flyer with more information is attached.
Camp 29: Also a free camp which is open to all incoming freshmen on Wednesday, August 13th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the WHS Gym. There will also be a Parent Night later that evening from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the cafeteria.
Registration for returning students is currently open online through ParentVUE at the link above.
If you need help with registration, staff will be available at the school on Wednesday, August 13th, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
High School Fall Sports (Volleyball, Cross Country, Cheerleading, and Football) officially begin on Monday, August 18th. You can turn in paperwork at the school on August 13th, or your student can bring it to the first day of practice.
Students entering 7th, 9th, or 11th grade will need an updated physical. You can schedule an appointment at the school-based health clinic on campus by calling 503-876-8564.
Middle School sports practices will start after the school year begins. Stay tuned for more information.
Supply lists are included in this post and can also be found on the school website under the “Schools” tab. Please note that the Middle and High School lists labeled "2024-25" are applicable for this school year.
Bus Routes
In talking with our transportation supervisor the bus routes will be similar to last year, but she will need to wait until after students have registered to accommodate new students and those who may have moved. Completed routes will be sent out closer to the start of the school year.
Elementary School: Monday, August 25th, will be Meet The Teacher Day, where families can come into the school and meet their teacher as well as drop off supplies. The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 26th.
Middle/High School: The first day of school will be Monday, August 25th, starting at 11:00 AM.
Please be aware that school secretaries will not officially start until Monday, August 11th, but they may be in and out of the office this week. If you have any questions, you can call the office of the school your student attends.
