Summer Update from Campus
Although school is out for the summer, our campus is full of activity! Under the leadership of Craig Johnson and Adam Wright, our facilities are undergoing a series of exciting upgrades and improvements that will be ready to welcome students back this fall. Our maintenance and custodial staff work hard and deserve a thank you!
Here’s what’s happening:
Campus Improvements
Refinished gym floor – ready for another great year of athletics and events
Fresh hallway paint – a bright new look to start the year strong
New high school furniture – designed to support social interaction and collaboration
Repaired sidewalks – improving safety and accessibility across campus
These upgrades reflect our continued investment in creating the best possible environment for our students and staff.
Staffing Updates
We are excited to share that we are fully staffed for the upcoming school year! In addition, several teacher placements have been adjusted to better meet student needs and enhance learning experiences.
Athletics and Activities
Our summer workouts are off to a great start with strong student participation. Students are reminded that the weight room is open—please connect with your coach for workout schedules.
We also look forward to welcoming new additions to our coaching staff, bringing fresh energy and expertise to our programs.
New Cell Phone Policy
In a recent executive order, the Governor has banned cell phones and smartwatches in classrooms, with some exceptions. While this is a significant change, our middle school students set a great example last year by embracing phone-free school days, enjoying deeper peer interactions and better focus.
We understand families still want to stay connected, and we will be working with state officials, our board, and other districts to create practical solutions that balance safety, communication, and learning.
Good news: Cell phones are not on the supply list this year.
Ongoing work: Finding the best way to meet both policy and parent needs.
Welcome to Our New School Board
Congratulations to our newly sworn-in school board members! We look forward to working together to set goals and guide our district’s direction for the future.
Getting Ready!
