What a wonderful way to cap off the school year! Graduation was a resounding success, filled with joy and pride. The personalized adornments on the graduation caps beautifully celebrated individual cultures and counties of visiting students and the perfect weather made for an unforgettable day.
As we look to the future, we bid a fond farewell to our outgoing principal, Jami Fluke, and extend a warm welcome to Jeremy Hurl, who will be joining us for the fall.
Honoring Our Outstanding Staff
Recently, our district came together for a truly special celebration to recognize our Staff of the Year. With over 45 nominations from their peers, it was an incredible testament to the dedication of our team. Congratulations to our Certified Staff of the Year, Amy Egli and Chris Shurts, and our Classified Staff of the Year winners, Natasha Birosel and Courtney Mendenhall!
Summer is almost here, and we're ready! Our summer meals program kicks off next week. Please keep an eye out for information on drop-off points in Willamina and the Grand Ronde areas. Summer school information will also be available soon via Parent Square and school offices, with classes starting on the 16th and limited bus routes available.
Looking ahead to the next academic year, we're thrilled to announce two significant additions: we'll be offering on-campus Spanish and adding an additional counselor for grades 6-12. This new counseling support will provide a vital resource for families as they navigate the increasingly complex landscape of post-secondary options.
Enjoy your summer, and remember to spend some time reading with a young student!
