October Update: Halfway Through the First Half!
We’ve officially reached the midpoint of the first half of the school year, and there's already so much to celebrate across our district!
First, we want to thank our families for making attendance a priority. We’re seeing improved attendance across the system, and that consistent commitment to showing up makes a real difference in student success. Keep it up!
A huge congratulations goes out to our FFA students who are headed to Nationals! This incredible opportunity wouldn't be possible without the generous support of local businesses, service clubs, and individuals who helped sponsor the trip. Your investment in our students is truly appreciated.
In our Career & Technical Education (CTE) program, three dedicated students are taking their learning to the next level by attending night classes at Linn-Benton Community College three evenings a week. They’re deepening their skills in programming for milling machines—real-world learning in action!
Looking ahead, the winter sports season is nearly here for our middle and high school students. Now is the time to ensure your athlete is up to date on their physical and staying on top of their grades. Let’s be game-day ready—on and off the court.
We were thrilled to see such a strong turnout for our recent secondary parent conferences. Thank you to all the families who took the time to engage with teachers and support their students’ academic journeys.
For our seniors, college planning is in full swing. Thanks to Mrs. Nelson, we now have a College Resource Page available on our website, filled with tools and information on applications, financial aid, resume building, and more. Now is the time to take those next steps!
Lastly, our elementary school recently hosted a very special Indigenous Peoples Day celebration. We were honored to welcome many of our tribal partners into classrooms to share demonstrations and work on projects with students. It was a meaningful day of culture, learning, and connection—always a highlight of the year at Willamina.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Willamina community. We’re proud of the work happening across every grade level, and we’re excited for what’s ahead!
Glad to be the lead Bulldog!
