Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT)

Oregon is the recipient of a grant to provide funds to children experiencing food insecurity during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs is working in close partnership with the Department of Human Services and Oregon school districts in supporting The Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT).

Parents do not need to apply for this benefit.

If your child(ren) were enrolled at Willamina School District as of March 16 they are already eligible for free or reduced price meals at school through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Your household will automatically receive an Oregon Trail Card or benefits added to your current Oregon Trail Card for the amount of approximately $384.00.

If your child is attending a different school and are not currently receiving free or reduced price meals through their school lunch program and you think they may be eligible, please contact their school district nutrition services to apply.

If your child is eligible, you will be contacted shortly by DHS. Instructions will be included to activate or refuse benefits.

Please don’t forget that you can still get “grab and go” meals from Willamina School District’s meal distribution sites. IN ADDITION to the benefits mentioned above.
