We are getting ready to implement 1 to 1 iPads for our 7-12 students. This means we would issue an iPad to each
student for their education to use at school and at home. Students will use their iPad in multiple ways: to access
content and assignments from teachers, use educational apps, using it as a tool to research, complete assignments, write papers, submit materials electronically, etc. Apps that will installed on the iPads will be managed by the school.

Parents/Guardians will need to attend a meeting to pick up and check out the iPad. During this meeting parents
will learn how to put in their “Apple ID” and password, how to turn on and use “Find my iPad” and how to set a “Pass code” and set it to lock immediately. If you do not have an “Apple ID” please sign up for one prior to the meeting. You can sign up here.

Parents will also be able to pick up their student’s report cards at this meeting. Parents that do not attend, the report card will be mailed home after January 31st

We will also discuss some volunteer insurance options available. We are using iPad2s that have a replacement valued of $330. Parents/Guardians would be responsible for the device if lost, stolen, damaged, etc. Students are able to use their own tablet (Apple or Android based) but some apps may not work like the ones that the class is using. Students that use their own device will be able to use the guest network when they check it in with Mr. Booker and receive an access code.
