Special Education Survey

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) conducts a parent survey each year to learn how well school districts are reaching out to parents of children in special education.  If you receive a survey, please fill it out and return it in the self-addressed, stamped envelope or complete the online version by going to the stated web address. The survey will let us know parents satisfaction with the school districts special education program and the special education process. The survey helps us plan for improvements in our special education services.

Willamina School District is committed to engaging parents in their childs education. Parents are a valued part of our team and essential in developing and implementing your childs IEP. Your participation enhances the effectiveness on your childs special education program and can have a positive impact on how well your child will do in school. In addition to attending annual IEP meetings, the district offers multiple opportunities for involvement in school. Volunteering in the classroom, SMART reading, attending family nights, and chaperoning field trips are just a few ways to engage with your child at school.

Again, if you receive a survey please complete and submit it. If you have questions regarding services through Willamina, please contact Carrie Zimbrick at 503-876-2374. For questions regarding the survey, please contact Jeremy Wells, ODE, at 503-947-5782. We value your input and encourage your participation.
